Yu Akeuchi (明内 ユウ Akeuchi Yū) is one of the main character of Hoshikuzu Telepath manga series. She is Umika's classmate and a self-proclaimed alien. She has a telepathic ability called "Odekopathy" (おでこぱしー Odekopashī, lit. "Foreheadpathy"), which allows her to read the thoughts of others by matching her forehead with theirs.
Appearance[]
Yu is a teenage girl of average height and build. She has cotton candy pink hair put up in two buns each with long strands of hair that reaches her hips and dark violet eyes that fade to a light turquoise. Along with the standard uniform, Yu wears a pink cardigan.
Personality[]
Possessing superhuman physical abilities, Yu has an abysmal optimism and a bright personality, and she instantly melts away the anxiety and tension of the shy Umika. On the other hand, she tends to hate steady effort and study and sometimes goes to bed while talking fast during class.[2] With her natural cheerfulness and energy, she can easily open up to her new classmates.
Due to a spaceship malfunction, she crash-landed on Earth, and when she noticed, she was in an abandoned lighthouse with her high school student notebook in her hand.[3] She possesses a diary written in cosmic language, which is currently the only clue to her memory. Currently, she uses the abandoned lighthouse where she woke up as a cemetery.[4]
After becoming friends with Umika, she has been working hard to make rockets with her.
Etymology[]
- Yu's surname Akeuchi means "bright" (明 ake) and "inside" (内 uchi).
Trivia[]
- Yu's birthday is unknown; the fans might be possible on Marine Day in Japan.[5]
