One-shot[]
One night, Umika Konohoshi receives a pristine uniform, a new bag, and pretty notebooks. She will begin her life but embarrasses herself when her stomach is grumbling. She might go through every day without talking to anyone or making any friends; she looks for a shooting star and prays to meet an alien.
Meanwhile, Yu Akeuchi woke up from an unknown place and looked for her student ID and did not know for a thing. Umika will try it a little bit better.
Chapter 1[]
Her words don't reach the people and they never come to anyone on the planet. An alien calls Umika to reach perfection and she hugs them. Umika is sure someone will hear them.
At her school, Umika draws an alien in her notebook and thinks to introduce herself during the entrance ceremony and the teacher yells at her. She looks to become more embarrassed, but Haruno Takaragi thinks that the entrance ceremony is stressful and Umika does it again. She is not good at talking to people and her face turns bright red.
In the past, Umika was a child who couldn't speak normally and might become an alien, but she loved reading in a brilliant sparkling, and faraway world. Then she won't give up and can call her own by herself, but surely she might want to go to space. Her words can't reach anyone on the planet and she will have to search for a friend who understands her. Among aliens are communicating via telepathy according to her investigations and Umika will understand a friend from an alien.
Yu barges the door to them for a new late-comer because her spaceship crashed and shows her student ID. Umika hides the curtain when Yu is an extrovert and needs to use her voice and not hesitate. She bought the cosmic language dictionary from Amasan and it is very hard to understand what "hello" translates to. Yu thinks the thing is "I'm an alien!," then she never heard like that. Umika thinks that the word "joke," two kids is a joke in the example, but she saw the UFOs are just stories on TV.
Umika will reach her voice and find some friends, Yu meets Umika and says the cosmic word "peggjov=movlov, pivou bovvu=vuv," which means "hello." According to her, the pronunciation of the voice is the key to the cosmic language and Umika tries to say the cosmic word. She is mistaken to her for catching a cold, but Yu plays with her forehead with her. Umika finished by playing the forehead that she did not have a fever; she feels like an open book and Yu calls "Odekopathy" in her ability and introduces herself lately. Yu pouts when nobody believes her. Umika praises her for being a real alien and tries to say "become friends"; she collapses and Yu calls the teacher to help her.
Chapter 2[]
In her dream, Umika rides a UFO to go to space and her words never reach anyone on Earth, Yu finally meets her. Umika woke up barely asleep and remembered her playing the "Forehead" with Umika. She thinks when she finally meets an alien in her dream, that Yu is an alien and to be friends with her. Her voice never reaches anyone on Earth.
At school, Umika writes to introduce herself to get closer. She thought it in her head plenty of times last night, she gets some time along with her that will be the hardest part. Emihara decided that the class is a half day and the students will do it as a group treasure hunt game and will form teams of two. She will also decide on the teams by lottery, thus Umika has failed herself two times already.
Umika gets her chance to talk with her and cannot give up now, Yu draws two lots with the same number and gives them to her, and Umika tears herself when Yu teams up with her. She decides to clear them all and Umika goes fire up. They did not find a single card, but Umika is still shy and is not okay and she thinks to introduce herself to an alien. Yu sures they will find a card with her.
To think, Umika stands up straight and they know each other's name and she will laugh at Umika. Yu looked at her properly and used "Odekopathy" and Umika will be fine. Yu tells her there is something to tell herself, but Umika still can't communicate with her; Yu will not laugh at her. She got a ping from an alien radar and hit a card on the roof.
They go to a roof and Yu runs for a pretty sky, Umika asks her to say "hello" and finally introduces herself to Yu when she was born on Earth, including her weight, and hobbies, and she is good at swimming. Her dream is to build her own rocket and go to space to find an alien, with whom she will become friends. After that, Yu hugs her telling herself that Umika's words are reaching her and Yu will probably have to return to her own planet someday; Umika wants to go to space and Yu wants to return to space, but it's just economical. Yu promises her they are both working at going to space. Umika thinks about herself, her words reach the alien Yu, but they are aiming for the same dream of going to space together. Yu finds a card using an alien radar that reads "Tell each other about your dreams!"; they laugh together after reading.

Haruno wants to play a forehead with Yu imagining seeing a galaxy and she wants to play with Matataki, but Umika plays instead. Yu hugs Umika and plays the forehead again to get the deepest connection.
